- Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, emerging technologies, and key opportunities within the digital grid ecosystem. Analyze regulatory, economic, and competitive landscapes to develop and direct business strategies.
- Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in target markets. Support the develop of a robust sales funnel aligned with growth objectives.
- Work with the greater team to expand relationships with utilities, regulators, partners, and industry collaborators. Represent Siemens Energy at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote Digital Grid portfolio.
- Collaborate with internal teams-including engineering, product management, and sales - to shape value propositions tailored to client needs. Translate customer requirements into innovative and competitive offering strategies.
- Proposal & Bid Management: Support with the strategy and direction of proposals, bids, and presentations. Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver compelling, customer-centric responses that demonstrate value and technical excellence.
- Customer Relationship Management: Identify key relationships with customers and industry to manage and maintain. Bring the external perspective into the business to resonate changes in direction and alignment of Siemens Energy offers and products to match the customers needs. Via your understanding of the customers and market coordinate global specialists to attend the region supporting the Digital Grid business strategy and customer engagement.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, contribute to whitepapers, industry forums and thought leadership events, and provide insights on digitalization and grid transformation trends.
- Engage with Siemens Energy's global teams to exchange standard methodologies, refine alignments, and contribute to international business development initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Energy Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) preferred.
- Experience in business development, sales, or account management within the energy sector, with a focus on digital, smart grid, or utility markets.
- Strong knowledge and experience in transmission system planning and operating studies, and power system performance analyses including steady-state studies, transient stability, small-signal stability, voltage stability, transients, insulation coordination, protection coordination, and power quality.
- Understanding of grid connection procedures and grid codes, and experience working with independent/transmission system operators (ISO/TSO), utilities, and developers.
- Understanding of digital grid technologies, including overhead line monitoring, grid automation systems, and intelligent substation or transmission equipment from leading industry providers.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships with clients, partners, and collaborators at all organizational levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in delivering presentations and proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and implement in a structured manner.
- Comfortable navigating a fast-changing industry landscape and adapting to evolving business priorities.
- Interest to travel regionally and internationally as needed.
- Prior experience working in or with utility companies, grid operators, or energy technology vendors.
- Familiarity with Siemens Energy's portfolio and digital grid solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce), data analytics, and digital sales platforms.
