We’re seeking an experienced Draftsperson with a background in steel, timber, and structural drafting to join a collaborative team known for delivering practical, buildable design solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You’ll be joining a well-established engineering consultancy with a reputation for quality structural design and documentation. - Preparing high-quality technical drawings and documentation for structural projects using AutoCAD and relevant drafting software
- Coordinating with engineers to ensure designs are practical, compliant, and buildable
- Producing detailed drawings for steelwork, timber framing, and structural connections
- Assisting with project documentation and liaising with clients and stakeholders when needed
- Supporting the team to deliver projects to deadline and standard
- Proven drafting experience in structural steel and timber detailing
- Strong technical skills in AutoCAD (and ideally exposure to Revit or similar)
- Driver’s License
- Forklift License (desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team
- Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised when needed
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Sound maths ability and confidence working with structural specifications
- Excellent accuracy in preparing documentation
- Computer literate and able to follow processes and procedures consistently
