
Senior Project Engineer

- Manage on-site engineering functions through subordinates, including site engineers, project engineers and cost / planning resources
- Obtain relevant design parameter information for incorporation into detailed designs and construction specifications
- Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material, check work drawings, construction and specifications against site plans and conditions and arrange corrections or modifications where necessary
- Coordinate the activities of an engineering team, programme workloads and provide technical and administrative guidance to the engineering staff to ensure aims and objectives are effectively and economically achieved
- Ensure that project engineering completion is on time and within budget. Record completed work, costs incurred, materials used and retain progress drawings
- Produce accurate forecasts of costs and revenue
- Participate in planning future requirements including machine tools, ancillary equipment, major plant and labour
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Demonstrated experience working on rail / highway / bridge projects in Australia
- 7-10+ years' total postgraduate experience, ideally in a tier one contractor setting
- Leadership ability to provide mentorship to direct reports includnig Project and Site Engineers
- Ideally one experience as a Senior Project Engineer at minimum
- Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning and reporting on progress, cost and risk
- Demonstrated personal commitment to health and safety
