0395006724 kerry.lowe@homes.vic.gov.auPosition DetailsTHE ROLEThe Portfolio Manager role, within the Enterprise & Program Management function of Homes Victoria, supports the organisation to effectively deliver on its Big Housing Build, Regional Housing Fund and other housing development commitments. Given the importance of these strategic programs, an effective program management capability is critical to ensure programs are effectively and proactively managed.The role manages a small team that works closely with branches to embed fit for purpose approaches to, and ongoing tracking of, program and performance management. You will work with stakeholders to provide advice and support covering short term priorities and longer-term capability uplift including effective use of digital program management tools.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
  • Program and project management: Consults, liaises with and influences key stakeholders; supports/produces project documentation where objectives are clearly defined and action steps for achieving them are clearly specified; monitors performance against objectives and manages program/project risk and issues; ensures program/project objectives are met.
  • Strategic thinking: Thinks at the big picture level, entertains wide-ranging possibilities in developing new ways of working, works across a number of timeframes, translates strategic direction into scalable and tailored action plans.
  • Written communication: Prepares complex briefs, letters, emails and reports using clear, concise and grammatically correct language; edits written communications to ensure they contain the information necessary to achieve their purpose and meet audience needs; ensures appropriate style and formats are used.
