Northern Sydney Local Health District Patient Liaison UnitWhat you'll be doing
The Revenue Clerk is responsible for the provision of general administrative duties, fast, accurate and timely data entry, invoicing, receipting, follow up, and other miscellaneous finance and general duties including archival of documents within the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD). The Revenue Clerk will be required to apply competent Excel skills to the sorting of data, production of reports and analysis and prioritisation of data sets as they relate to receipting. The incumbent will undertake cashiering responsibilities at a hospital level as required, ensuring compliance with District and Ministry of Health policies as they relate to cash handling, issuing of taxi vouchers, petty cash, patient valuables and the like.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:Sound knowledge of accounts receivables processes and procedures including proven capacity to undertake fast, accurate, timely data entry in multiple revenue systems in a high volume processing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills including good telephone manner, confidence in the spoken word and an ability to deal courteously and professionally with a variety of people, who may at times be distressed. Good written communication skills including, accurate spelling, good comprehension and correspondence writing skills.
- Applicants should demonstrate intermediate practical skills and sound knowledge in the use of MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, to effectively manage documents, data, and communication. Prior experience with PBRC and EMR systems is highly regarded and will be considered an advantage.
