Overseeing and integrating the Strategic Communication team’s diverse and professional skills to anticipate and deliver consistent, quality internal and external communications, engagement support and services that align with the AER’s strategic framework and priorities.
Ensuring the Strategic Communication team’s work is coordinated, prioritised, resourced, aligned and performed to the appropriate standard.
Overseeing the AER website and intranet, including ensuring content is accurate, current and accessible, and usership continues to increase.
Leading the development and delivery of organisation wide communication, public information management and stakeholder engagement strategies; policies and plans to strengthen ongoing consultation; reporting and evaluation to support the AER Strategic Plan.
About youIn order to succeed in the role, you will have:
Knowledge of Australian energy markets; the role, purpose and objectives of the AER and the complex political and stakeholder environment within which the AER operates.
Substantial knowledge and demonstrated senior leadership experience across all strategic communications and engagement activities, preferably within a government and/or regulatory environment.
Demonstrated experience leading a team or similar role in a fast-paced and large complex people-centred organisation.
Tertiary qualifications in relevant field(s) or a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
