
Network Communications Specialist

- Research, design, test, and implement new technologies and services to support the Departments secure National Telepresence Service
- Maintain expertise in current and emerging collaboration technologies, including implementation and troubleshooting.
- Investigate and resolve complex and recurring issues in coordination with the Network Operations Centre (NOC).
- Develop, maintain, and implement collaboration solutions that align with the Branch's strategic goals, with limited supervision.
- Conduct research and testing to support future service offerings and improvements.
- Maintain the collaboration tools in the Secure Communications lab as a mirror of the Branch's production environments.
- Under limited supervision, troubleshoot complex problems in lab environments and develop implementable solutions for production systems.
- Enhance customer experience across collaboration systems by working closely with other areas of the Branch and Government.
- Provide expert technical advice to project managers and the Branch's leadership team.
- Experience working with network Routing, Switching, DHCP, DNS, SNMP,TCP/IP, UDP, NTP and various network communication protocols.
- Effective communication skills including demonstrated ability to undertake detailed research and analysis.
- Experience with designing and implementing secure and scalable UC solutions aligned to business needs
- Experience in overseeing or administering Unified Communications systems.
