Must be an Australian Citizen9-month CONTRACT with potential extensionsHybrid working arrangement (2-3 days a week on-site in CBD)Daily rate: $1000 (inc SUPER)Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced ICT Release & Deployment Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and governance of technology releases across enterprise platforms and major ICT programs. You will ensure processes are consistent, automated, and aligned with ITIL, change, and transition practices, while partnering with stakeholders to deliver business outcomes and minimise risk.What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage the integrated release calendar and coordinate activities across business units, delivery teams, and technical groups.
  • Facilitate planning forums, deployment readiness checks, and go/no-go decisions.
  • Uplift and standardise release processes, frameworks, and documentation including templates, checklists, and runbooks.
  • Champion repeatable, auditable, and automated release practices.
  • Provide oversight of releases within large ICT programs, ensuring compliance with security, architecture, and operational standards.
  • Work with program managers to assess risks, dependencies, and impacts.
  • Contribute to governance forums and align releases with enterprise ICT strategy.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, clearly communicating risks and complex scheduling matters.
  • Support and coach delivery teams on release management best practice.
More About You
  • Proven track record managing enterprise-level release cycles in complex ICT environments.
  • Experience uplifting frameworks, tools, and documentation standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models and enterprise change processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence executives and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Analytical and structured thinking with a focus on risk, assurance, and performance metrics.
  • Ability to align interdependent delivery streams across large programs.
  • Desirables: experience in PMO/governance bodies, understanding of public sector ICT frameworks, exposure to cloud/hybrid deployments, and knowledge of security and operational readiness in government or regulated industries.
