About the Role:We’re seeking a Supervised Contact Worker to support children and young people in foster care to safely connect with their families and significant others. You’ll facilitate family time sessions, provide mentoring in various settings, and maintain accurate records and reports.This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll strengthen family relationships while supporting children’s wellbeing and development.Shifts are primarily between 6am and 6pm, across seven days, with flexibility for extended hours.Benefits:

Duties:Facilitate safe and meaningful family time sessions for children and young peopleMentor children and young people across a variety of settingsBuild and maintain positive, respectful relationships with families and carersProvide accurate written updates, reports, and case documentationWork collaboratively with the team to ensure consistent, high-quality supportRespond to complex situations with professionalism and sound judgmentSkills and Experience:Essential:Strong interpersonal and communication skillsReport writing and documentation skills, with confidence using software systemsAbility to work both independently and within a teamFlexible and adaptable, with willingness to work non-standard hoursCurrent NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)Current Australian Driver’s LicenceDesirable:Qualification in Human Services, Community Services (Certificate IV/Diploma), or related fieldPrevious experience working with children, young people, or families in care settingsAbout Us:For over 65 years, Challenge Community Services has provided disability services, foster care, allied health, and supported employment.
