Prioritising the well-being of its employees, they provide outstanding benefits aimed at fostering work-life balance, along with opportunities for professional development.As the Payroll Accountant, you will be joining a highly motivated team of professionals supporting the Finance division. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Facilitate end-to-end weekly payroll processing for employees across Australia & New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple locations and award structures
  • Calculate and lodge payroll liabilities including PAYG withholding, payroll tax obligations, superannuation guarantee contributions, and workers compensation reporting
  • Conduct comprehensive payroll reporting including periodic compliance reports, exception reporting, variance analysis, and detailed management reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Maintain payroll system integrity through employee setup, data maintenance, award interpretation, and system updates while ensuring data security and confidentiality protocols
  • Administer leave management processes including annual leave calculations, personal leave entitlements, long service leave accruals, and leave loading provisions across various employment agreements
  • Process termination payments and final pay calculations including unused leave entitlements, notice periods, and redundancy payments in accordance with Fair Work requirements
  • Manage employee expense processing including travel allowances, tool allowances, overtime calculations, and expense claim reconciliations with appropriate approvals
  • Support month-end financial processes by preparing payroll journals, accruals, and reconciliations for integration with the general ledger system
  • Respond to employee payroll enquiries in a professional and timely manner while maintaining strict confidentiality and providing clear explanations of pay calculations
  • Assist with audit processes by preparing payroll documentation, supporting schedules, and liaising with external auditors as required
  • Provide backup support for other finance team members during peak periods and participate in cross-training opportunities to broaden skill base
To be considered for this exceptional role, you will have at least 4-5 years' proven experience in payroll operations within a high achieving company.
