Eligibility: Open to EveryoneThe Prosecuting Solicitor Pool will operate for a period of up to 12 months. Recommended applicants will be eligible for upcoming term/temporary opportunities. Positions are available across various metropolitan and regional locations within Prosecution Services Branch. Successful applicants may be contacted as positions become available.Multiple short term and long term temporary contracts and vacancies are available at the LE2 and LE3 classification levels.About the positions:LE2 Prosecuting SolicitorThe Prosecuting Solicitor is accountable to the Supervising Senior Prosecutor for the provision of prosecution services including adjudication and less-complex advocacy. The Prosecuting Solicitor is expected to conduct prosecution files within the lower range of complexity and works under limited supervision and direction of the Supervising Senior Prosecutor. The Prosecuting Solicitor is expected to act in accordance with the ethics of the legal profession.LE3 Prosecuting SolicitorThe Prosecuting Solicitor is accountable to the Supervising Senior Prosecutor for the provision of prosecution services including adjudication, negotiation and advocacy. The Prosecuting Solicitor is expected to manage prosecution files across the full range of complexity. The Prosecuting Solicitor is expected to act in accordance with the ethics of the legal profession. To work at the LE3 classification level, an unrestricted practicing certificate is required.Special Conditions
  • The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
  • The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
  • The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’s iEngage program.
RequirementsA degree in law and eligible to be admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia with a restricted/unrestricted practicing certificate.Salary
