Due to ongoing growth, a Field Service Technician role has become available within the Melbourne branch. This is a client-facing position that will see you delivering on-site servicing, repairs, and maintenance of heavy equipment, while also ensuring that customers receive professional and timely support.Responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned maintenance, inspections, and servicing of heavy equipment.
- Diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting mechanical faults on-site.
- Overhauls, modifications, and new equipment builds as required.
- Providing technical support and advice to clients in the field.
- Maintaining accurate service records and adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborating with the internal parts and support teams to ensure efficient job completion.
The ideal candidate will be a trade-qualified mechanic with experience across heavy diesel or large-scale machinery. A background in mobile plant, automotive, or HD mechanical roles will be highly regarded. Strong diagnostic skills, customer service ability, and a proactive approach are key to success in this role.The key attributes of an ideal candidate would include:
- Trade qualification - Heavy Diesel, Mobile Plant, or Automotive Mechanic.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment and diesel systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic/fault-finding skills.
- Exposure to hydraulics and electrical systems (highly regarded).
