About the Role We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Project Administration Officer to join a busy and supportive local government team. This role is integral in ensuring the smooth delivery of business transformation initiatives by providing accurate data entry, strong administrative support, and excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator looking to contribute to meaningful community outcomes while developing their skills in project and data management.Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate data entry, updates, and verification across project management systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Assist with cleaning and formatting legacy data to support migration projects.
  • Manage document control, including filing, retrieval, and version management of project-related materials.
  • Provide general administrative support such as scheduling meetings, preparing basic reports, and coordinating small project tasks.
  • Source and compile information to assist the project team with decision-making and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Council’s policies, procedures, and record-keeping standards.
  • Deliver professional customer service to internal staff and external stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement of processes and support a culture of innovation.
About You We are looking for someone who thrives in a collaborative team environment and brings a proactive, solutions-focused approach. To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Previous administration or project support experience, ideally within local government or a similar environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Confidence working independently while also contributing as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A certificate in Business Administration or equivalent (highly regarded but not essential).
