Senior Project Officer – Veterans (Level 6)
These positions play a vital role in delivering the Veterans and Families Strategy, a cornerstone of the broader 2025 WA Defence and Defence Industry Strategy.The Manager – Veterans Issues (L7) leads and manages the strategic implementation of veteran-focused programs, with a particular emphasis on driving the Veterans and Families Strategy. This leadership role ensures alignment with broader defence initiatives and fosters collaboration across stakeholders.The Senior Project Officer – Veterans (L6) is responsible for administering and implementing programs that support veterans and their families. Essential Criteria – L7 & L6: * Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, supported by well-developed communication skills, which allow you to present messages in a clear, concise manner and articulate key points confidently to negotiate with, or influence others.
Demonstrated considerable experience in coordinating and overseeing initiatives and project performance and the successful delivery and implementation of programs and projects.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective collaboration across diverse networks and contacts in the veteran community, ex-service organisations, and government agencies to obtain broad support for project development and delivery.
Manager – Veterans Issues (Level 7): * Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve expected outcomes.Desirable: * Ability to obtain and maintain a national security clearance.
Having current or prior military service is highly beneficial
