Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and leading a team that includes Maintenance Planners, Ancillary Supervisors, and Senior Store persons, you will play a pivotal role in driving the safe and efficient performance of our maintenance operations.This is a site-based role working a 9-day fortnight roster (5/2, 4/3), giving you a balanced lifestyle while contributing to one of Australia's premier mining operations.As part of the Maintenance leadership team, you will ensure that reliable equipment is available to meet production demands, whilst championing safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
  • Implement weekly maintenance plans in alignment with production goals.
  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors, OEMs, and suppliers to ensure effective asset management.
  • Oversee the quality and efficiency of maintenance work, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Set performance expectations for your team, providing coaching and mentoring to foster growth.
  • Manage costs and ensure adherence to project budgets.
  • Support inventory management and ensure timely delivery of critical components
About YouWe are looking for a results-driven leader who combines technical expertise with a commitment to excellence.Skills & Qualifications
  • Trade Certificate/Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Experience supervising site-based maintenance teams in open-cut mining.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in mobile mining plant maintenance.
  • Coal mining competencies: **RIIRIS301A, RIICOM301B, RIIOHS301A, RIIRIS402A**.
  • Strong budgeting, planning, and cost control skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and maintenance management systems (e.g., JDE).
