-We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. At Mundaring Primary School (MPS) we develop the cognitive, social, physical and creative abilities and skills of children so they have the best start possible to their schooling and can reach their potential. Catering for children from Kindergarten to Year 6, our school is characterised as being community and environmentally friendly. It has a small country school feel yet is large enough to offer a range of options and facilities. Our staff are life-long learners and are committed to making a difference to the lives of our students. Our programs provide children with the opportunity to study a range of subjects including music, physical education and Japanese. Our school community are very committed and support a strong School Board and P&C.Our Moral purpose, ‘Successful students in a supportive environment’ drives all of our decision making. Through our work with the Fogarty EDvance Program and the Centre of Excellence of Explicit Teaching of Literacy, we have developed a very consistent lesson structure (EDI), strong Engagement Norms, and whole school routines to allow our students to use their working memory on the content taught and not trying to figure out how to learn. With a strong literacy block, our staff (teachers and EAs) work to drive progress in our students. Our planning documents and lesson resources allow staff to use their time to work on ‘how’ to teach and not ‘what’ to teach. The expectation of incoming staff would be to become part of the team. There are no silos at MPS and no plans of adding any in the future. In order to allow for continued success at MPS, we urge applicants with any length of experience to apply. Whether you are a graduate or an experienced teacher, your expertise will be valued, and we will work together to progress your practice as we do for all of teachers within our school.Find out more about our school by visiting orThe RoleSuitable applicants will ideally have outstanding knowledge in evidence based, explicit and assessment focussed teaching.
