POSITIONWe have a full-time position for a Farm Supervisor in Utchee Creek, QLD 4871.SKILLSYou require at least a Certificate IV or higher qualification and at least 1-year relevant job experience to perform the role.RESPONSIBILITIESYour role as the Farm Supervisor is to oversee and supervise banana farm cultivation operations from plant to harvest and produce processing and packaging for market.POSITION DUTIESYou will need to undertake the following duties:

Consultancy and planning with Farm Manager to meet the productions objectives.
Delegating, organising and supervising tasks of Farmhands.
Ensuring Farmhands have the required tools and equipment for scheduled tasks.
Supervising the hanging, cutting, de-handing, washing, sorting, grading and packing of banana bunches.
Training new staff as to required duties for their position.
Monitoring staff hours, breaks and performance and reporting any staff grievances.
Monitoring packing line to ensure smooth flow and no delays between stations.
Ensuring pack banana boxes are stacked, labelled and packed for transport.
Inspecting farming equipment, ensuring routine maintenance is carried out and arranging repairs are made when necessary.
Ensuring packing shed remains clean and tidy.
Checking shed stock to ensure enough supplies for planned packing.
Organising transportation for banana bunches.
Ensuring that waste materials are disposed of correctly.
Ensuring and enforcing compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards.
Additional duties may be required from time to time as required by the business
