Our strategic projects are science-based and have attracted prestigious local, national and international awards.Training and education are the most important aspect of the services provided by Noosa & District Landcare Group and is embedded in all that we do. We offer both accredited and non-accredited courses and training, while also supporting community capacity building and awareness through a variety of field days, workshops and lectures each year.We partner with local landholders, local, state and federal governments, private investors, schools, universities and catchment care groups in the Burnett, Mary, Noosa and Sunshine Coast regions. Through our Community, Conservation and Restoration activities, together we are transforming our local landscape.About the roleThis newly created role will be responsible for managing and developing our key Business Partnerships including our award-winning Training Program. The role is suited to candidates with over 5 years’ management experience in business development and/or contract management. Candidates with experience in training and education programs in the natural resource management sector will be highly regarded.About youYou are ready to take the next step in your management career by using your extensive contacts and networks to help build a bright future for Noosa Landcare. You will have a passion for conserving our local natural landscapes and training the next generation of Landcarers.Required Qualifications/Certificates
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant degree in Business, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Education or equivalent
  • Minimum: 5 years’ experience in a management position within the natural resources management sector
Required Experience/SkillsProject Management
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehensively manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop project plans and work schedules.
  • Manage project budget allocations and ensure resources are used effectively.
Business Development
  • Proven ability to develop successful proposals and grant applications.
  • Proven ability to write successful tenders, quotes and job estimates.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively and efficiently with a broad range of clients, contractors, government agencies, customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong networking links within the NRM sector
Communication & Reporting
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality reporting, including project reporting, milestone and financial tracking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills for a range of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work respectfully within a team.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, when required.
Desirable Experience/Skills
  • Experience developing and delivering high quality training programs will be highly regarded
  • Experience with GIS mapping will be highly regarded
  • Cert IV or higher in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or Horticulture
  • Current C-class manual drivers’ licence
Remuneration$90,000-100,000 pa plus access to company vehicleHours of workFull time 76 hours per fortnight.
