Responsibilities:The key objectives for this role are:
  • Design, develops and tests mechanical systems, components, and products
  • Provided technical guidance, leads design reviews, and ensures technical quality and compliance with standards. Fosters a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Is a problem-solver - Analyzes existing systems, identifies problems and develops solutions
  • Ensure designs meet specifications, are cost-effective, reliable, and have a low environmental impact
  • Collaborates with other engineering disciplines, such as process and E&I to ensure integrated project delivery
  • Contributes to design review workshops and quality checks
  • Foster a culture of safe delivery, continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration

  • Minimum 7 years direct experience managing projects on major hazards facilities (MHF)
  • Demonstrable experience of embedding safety considerations into all aspects of mechanical engineering and design
  • Proven experience of being directly involved on projects in the chemicals / agricultural sectors
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or related field)
  • Must be available to work onsite in Laverton, Victoria
