Partner closely with operations to provide insights that guide decisions, control costs, and keep financial systems running smoothly and efficiently.What you'll do:In this hands-on role, and with the support of an excellent and approachable Financial Controller, you'll oversee the full spectrum of financial operations, from maintaining the general ledger to ensuring accurate transaction coding and applying project accounting for contracting, production, and project-based work. You'll also manage revenue reconciliations, accruals, intercompany transfers, and broader operational accounting, delivering timely and reliable financial information.You'll take ownership of preparing and lodging BAS, while managing daily AP/AR, cash, bank, purchasing, and stock ledger functions. By partnering closely with operational teams, you'll play a key role in cost control and margin protection, while identifying opportunities for process improvement across the finance function.Your remit will also include supporting the annual budget cycle, preparing monthly forecasts, and assisting with the year-end audit process. Beyond the numbers, you'll actively engage with the business, encouraging finance team members to develop a broader understanding of operations and fostering a collaborative, commercially minded environment.Key Focus Areas:

Leading the month-end close process and ensuring reporting accuracy
Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and reconciliations
Applying project accounting principles to track costs and margins
Overseeing AP/AR, cash management, and purchasing functions
Driving process improvements and efficiency gains across finance

Who You Are:You're a CA/CPA qualified (or close to completion) hands-on accountant with a solid technical grounding and the curiosity to understand what makes a project tick. You thrive in operational environments, building relationships across teams, and delivering accurate, meaningful financial insights.What You'll Bring:

Experience in manufacturing or civil construction industries.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and project cost drivers.
3-6 years experience
Coachable, quick learner with clear communication skills.
