- Develop and execute business development activities associated with the estate works and other Defence infrastructure programs.
- Liaise and oversee bid teams to ensure deadlines are met and opportunities progressed to submission with strong probability of success, both in terms of winning and executing the program
- Prepare business professionals and support contract negotiations for allocated key captures when down-selected and ensure that all attributes of the program’s development are handed over for execution
- Build a well-defined and qualified pipeline of opportunities aligned with the 2025 Defence strategy
- Manage opportunities from initial identification, strategy development and pursuit management through to tender preparation and contract negotiation.
- Conduct ongoing competitor and market analysis, ensuring awareness of any changes that may impact successful achievement of Defence Strategy and Business development objectives.
- Development of marketing strategies and prepare and provide budgets, reports, forecasts and related information required.
- Business Development or Operational experience, in Defence or Defence related field
- Degree or Diploma in an engineering or related Marketing/Management discipline
- Highly developed communication skills, strong negotiation and influencing skills and ability to establish effective relationships at different levels internally and externally.
- Excellent people management and interpersonal skills
- Strong systems, operational, financial, resource planning and reporting skills
- Must be an Australian Citizen for Defence Clearance purposes
