- Lead and coach the team to develop capability, building collaboration and engagement.
- Plan and deliver opportunities to increase market share across new and existing markets to build sustainable and profitable growth.
- Deliver all contracted services to icare, Comcare, State Super and the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) including claims management, relationship management, risk and achievement of service level agreements.
- Be accountable for the P&L of the Government Services business, developing and implementing the strategy across the relevant workers compensation and disability markets.
- Review current performance, evaluate and prioritise opportunities, implement improvements through to bottom line impact, and ensure the sustainability of delivered improvements through continuous improvement of the business unit.
- Contribute recommendations to the Chief General Manager, Personal Injury, constructively challenging when appropriate to assist with providing operational and strategic management of the Workers Compensation Business Plan and overall Allianz business.
- Ensure a customer centric approach and continuous improvements at all customer touchpoints.
- Understand global best practice, customer trends and insights to develop a compelling vision, strategy an plan that put the best interests of our customers at the heart of everything we do.
- Experience in the contemporary insurance business and its key drivers combined with the ability to mobilise the function accordingly.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and leadership within the industry.
- Extensive claims experience with a background working with Personal Injury claims and Regulators.
- Demonstrated evidence of developing and implementing strategies in line with organisational goals.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory and legislative compliance requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of NSW, Comcare, State Super and PICS legislative and operational frameworks.
- Expert relationship management capability.
- Proven capability to manage change through the initiation and promotion of organisational transformation, leveraging effective process, collaboration and communication to foster commitment and participation.
