- Provide information, support, counselling, and mediation to separating couples and families.
- Facilitate negotiations that prioritise the best interests of children and young people.
- Conduct intake, risk, and needs assessments in line with the Family Law Act 1975 and FDRP Regulations 2008.
- Deliver child-focused mediation using relevant frameworks and best practice standards.
- Maintain accurate records, case notes, and reporting in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
- Build positive networks and promote services across the community.
- Contribute to a collaborative, values-driven team environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Law, Family Dispute Resolution or Mediation.
- Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (or eligibility to obtain registration).
- Demonstrated experience in family dispute resolution and child-inclusive practices.
- Strong communication, assessment, and case management skills.
- The ability to maintain professional standards in line with legislation and FDR accreditation requirements.
- A current driver's licence, Blue Card, and ability to obtain a Disability Worker Screening clearance.
- Experience in the not-for-profit or community services sector.
- Skills in education, group facilitation, or working with diverse cultural and social contexts.
