- Match skills to shifts, allocate staff based on operational needs, ability, and availability and accounting for last-minute changes.
- Build and optimise rosters monitoring labour cost vs budget and come up with solutions
- Create, manage and update schedules for all venues and event spaces
- Avoid risks by monitor availability, escalating gaps or overtime issues to the appropriate teams.
- Communicate updates promptly and clearly, working closely with Operations Manager, Executive Chef, Head of Sales and People & Culture, to keep services running smoothly.
- Monitoring attendance and leave, and flagging any issues or discrepancies with People & Culture
- Providing reporting and insights to management on staffing levels and trends
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, helping us refine our processes and enhance staff satisfaction and engagement
- Ensure time sheets are completed on time, with breaks, training, overtime and normal hours confirmed and accurate
- Maintain leave calendar to ensure we have the appropriate coverage for day to day operations
- Assist with headcount reports and eliminating gaps staffing levels
- Proven rostering expertise – 2+ years’ experience in this role or a similar position
- Award knowledge – Ability to interpret and apply the Award to ensure rosters remain fully compliant.
- Skilled in forecasting services to align with venue budget
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Teams, Word, Excel), and experience with rostering platform Employment Hero is preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong data entry skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communicator – Adept at resolving conflicts and matching staff availability to client needs.
