Specialist - People SupportLocation: Melbourne (North Fitzroy)At Kinetic, we're passionate about moving people, enhancing communities, and being an employer of choice. We are seeking a Specialist - People Support to join our team and play a key role in supporting leaders and staff across all our Melbourne Depots.Reporting to the Manager - People Support, this role is responsible for providing day-to-day HR advice, assisting with employee relations matters, and helping to deliver initiatives that improve engagement, retention, and performance.In this role you will:
  • Provide advice and guidance on day-to-day employee relations matters, including performance, disciplinary, and grievance issues.
  • Support managers with meetings, documentation, and coaching conversations.
  • Assist in delivering cyclical people activities that build engagement, diversity, and retention.
  • Collate and report on trends, highlighting areas for recognition and improvement.
  • Work closely with the People & Safety team and Service Delivery teams to roll out projects and initiatives.
  • Help foster a culture that reflects Kinetic's values.
The ideal candidateThe ideal candidate will have around two years' experience as an HR generalist, with exposure to a broad range of HR activities including employee relations, engagement, and general people support. They will bring strong foundational knowledge and a genuine hunger to grow, develop, and build a long-term career in HR.This person will demonstrate high energy, curiosity, and a proactive approach. They will be comfortable working with a wide variety of stakeholders - from executives through to frontline depot staff - and will have the interpersonal skills to engage across all levels of the business.The successful candidate will view this role as an opportunity to broaden their HR experience, strengthen their capability in employee relations, and learn from a supportive manager in a practical, hands-on environment.What you'll bring:
  • Degree in human resources, business, psychology, or related field.
  • Experience supporting leaders in HR and employee relations matters.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to engage and collaborate at all levels of the business.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised, detail-focused, and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
