We have a positive culture that we are building together, where people feel supported, valued and heard.About the DivisionAs a Division of the Academy, the Business Services Division leads the provision of quality Academy corporate support services and functions (including procurement, project management and program governance, human resources and culture architecture, finance, facilities management and, risk, audit and performance reporting) which enable successful operation of the Academy. In addition, the Business Services Division is responsible for the oversight, delivery and reporting of the compliance obligations required of a Victorian government statutory authority.About the RoleThe Senior Project Officer – Capability and Culture is responsible for the efficient delivery and implementation of initiatives, and provision of expert guidance and strategic insights, to drive best practice and continuous improvement in the Academy's Capability and Culture functions, cultivating a culture of high performance across the Academy.This includes:
undertaking planning, implementation and reporting on people, capability and culture matters ensuring they align with strategic priorities and set up each Division and Business Unit for success in implementation
enhancing the Academy's approach to onboarding and inducting staff, and its performance and development processes
facilitating employee surveys, including validating data and action planning
developing, implementing and evaluating best practice capability development
developing and delivering a range of organisational development programs informed by data
The Senior Project Officer – Capability and Culture also supports the People function at the Academy by providing strategic workforce planning and implementation, and supporting HR processes and queries, ensuring compliance with the department's policies, procedures, processes and systems.CapabilitiesThe role requires the successful candidate to demonstrate the ability to develop authentic relationships, work collaboratively with peers and leaders, identify solutions to complex problems and continuously improve processes, while remaining focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience.The work program within the role is cyclical but requires critical thinking and problem solving and is reliant upon the successful candidate being able to identify process improvements and efficiencies.Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Proven ability to effectively engage and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication and consulting abilities
Experience in translating organisational strategy into operational actions
Tertiary qualifications in learning and development, organisational development, Human Resources or a similar field.
