South West Healthcare (SWH) is the major acute referral site for the South West region, home to the Deakin Clinical School, and the largest employer in the area. We are currently offering an outstanding career opportunity for a Research Assistant to join the DELIVER Project.About the Role The DELIVER Project is a 5-year, Commonwealth-funded initiative supported by the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) through the Rapid Applied Research Translation Grant Scheme. The project is a collaborative partnership involving regional and rural health services, along with a number of Universities.The aim of the project is to enhance healthcare delivery at home or closer to home for older adults in regional and rural communities, using rapid research translation, digital tools, and co-design. We are seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to lead the implementation of this project at SWH.Position overview
Employment Type: Part-Time (12 hours per fortnight), Fixed-Term position (until 31 December2026)
Location: Warrnambool Campus
Classification/Salary: Dependent on skills and experience relevant to position
What you bring
A relevant qualification in a health-related field such as nursing, medicine, public health, health promotion, allied health, or research
Minimum of five years' experience working within the healthcare sector
Previous experience in project management is highly desirable
Strong communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and facilitate discussions with staff and stakeholders
Applications from non-health professionals with a strong background in research or project management will also be considered
