Job Description:Join an Organisation where we Serve Something Greater; See Something Greater; and Strive for Something Greater!Great opportunity for an experienced Instrument Technician for a Grade 5/Supervisor role at St Vincent's Private Hospital East Melbourne Central Sterilising Stores Department (CSSD). This role is a full time position working Monday to Friday, primarily rostered on afternoons/night shifts.The CSSD supports the needs of the Operating Theatre through timely processing of equipment and instruments. A great team environment exists with dedicated support focusing on patient centre care.Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):Supervision and training of CSSD StaffAssists in service planning and deliver of customer focused serviceTrouble shooting of equipment &/or instrumentsMonitoring compliance to Australian Standards including auditingDepartment compliance to Infection control and OH&S policy and proceduresActive participation to service improvementWHY WORK FOR SVPHM:

ABOUT YOU:
The successful candidate for this Grade 5 position will have:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  • Minimum 3 years experience as an Instrument Technician
  • Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Enhanced problem solving skills
