-We are seeking to establish a pool of Health and Physical Education Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to end of term 3, 2026 Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.Yanchep Secondary College (SC) provides young people in the Yanchep area with a high quality, comprehensive education. Yanchep Secondary College opened in 2018 in a brand new purpose built school. We are seeking teachers who are strong team players who support improvement in teaching and learning in a Senior High School environment. You should ideally model a culture of self-reflection and engagement in coaching that promotes your professional growth.You shall support the Health and Physical Education (HPE) Learning Area team to strategically meet the learning needs of all students studying HPE curriculum and work closely with all members of the HPE team to promote growth through professional conversations, coaching and peer observations to embrace all challenges and opportunities.To be successful, you would ideally have a moral purpose that is aligned to making a difference in the lives of young people by preparing them to be active and productive adults. This includes the commitment and desire to create and sustain a safe, student-centred learning environment. Aligned to the college’s whole school instructional model, the successful applicant will demonstrate an understanding of Explicit Direct Instruction, High Impact Teaching Strategies, strong behaviour management, knowledge of differentiation and the ability to cater for our ‘Students at Education Risk’.You would ideally possess excellent communication and public relation skills that allow you to build and maintain collaborative and respectful partnerships across the college and the wider community.
