About Our ClientThis opportunity is with a small-sized organisation in the not-for-profit industry, dedicated to making a meaningful impact in the community. The organisation values data-driven strategies to optimise its operations and extend its reach.Job DescriptionData Collection and Cleaning: Gather data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Clean and preprocess data to prepare it for analysis.Data Analysis: Utilize statistical methods, data mining techniques, and analysis to extract meaningful insights from datasets. Identify trends, patterns, and correlations to inform business strategies.Reporting and Visualisation: Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Present insights in a clear and understandable manner to support decision-making processes.Systems Administration: Perform systems administration tasks such as security management where requested.Systems Implementation and Maintenance: Assist with the implementation and maintenance of Foodbank Australia systems where requested.Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in data analytics, tools, and methodologies. Continuously improve analytical techniques and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.The Successful ApplicantEducational Background: Bachelor's degree in a data or accounting related field. Has a demonstrated desire to be involved in data work. A high degree of numeracy.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The ability to work independently to navigate to the best outcome from imperfect real-world data. An ability to distil complex tasks into simple and efficient processes.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with the Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel and Power BI.Data Management: Familiarity with databases and data warehousing concepts. Experience with data cleaning and transformation.Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
