In this role you will have a mandate to drive profitable growth, operational excellence, and market influence across diverse segments including Aviation, Construction, and Builders Warranty.As a senior leader in this major insurance business, you will shape and execute integrated strategies that deliver commercial outcomes, strengthen intermediary relationships, and elevate QBE’s presence in the specialty insurance market.Your New RoleThe GM Agency and Specialty will oversee the performance, planning, and strategic direction of both Agency and Specialty business units, leading a team of subject matter experts and senior managers, ensuring alignment with QBE’s broader business objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and engagement.You will be responsible for translating strategy into operational plans, managing budgets and forecasts, and driving financial performance. You’ll also act as a key representative for QBE in partner negotiations, ensuring win-win outcomes and long-term value creation.Key accountabilities include:Develop and lead strategic plans and operating models across Agency and Specialty portfolios.Drive strong financial performance, ensuring achievement of revenue and expense targets.Oversee governance, compliance, and risk management across business units.Build and maintain relationships with major intermediaries and external partners.Identify and implement improvements in core business processes, systems, and reporting.Lead and inspire teams to deliver high-impact results and foster a high-performance culture.Champion growth opportunities within Agency channels and specialty lines.Represent QBE in high-level negotiations and act as an escalation point for complex matters.About YouThis is an opportunity for a seasoned insurance industry leader with a track record in commercial excellence and effective people leadership.
