With offices strategically located in Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East, we are well-positioned to take on projects for clients around the world.About the RoleThe purpose of the Junior Project Engineer role is to provide technical support to the business whilst building their knowledge of Contract Resources core services. The role will have a specific focus on continuous improvement of our services, bringing innovative solutions for reductions in cost, increases in productivity and improved quality.This position will be required to work closely with numerous internal and external stakeholders and will require site-based work on a range of client facilities.Duties and ResponsibilitiesHSEEnsure that CR personnel comply with all site safety and operational requirements
Comply with, and maintain a proactive approach towards all Company Health, Safety and Environmental Requirements
Comply with safety requirements relevant to the task
Be accountable for the overall safety performance of activities under your control
Promote incident prevention in workplaces and projects under your control
Cooperate and have input to hazard identification and rectification in all areas of the facility and activities undertaken
Ensure all potential environmental risks are identified, assessed, rated and mitigated, in line with CR policy and procedures
Assist with HSE system audits as requiredQualityComply with all Company policies and procedures and maintain a proactive approach towards quality
Comply with quality requirements relevant to the task
Ensure corrective actions for non-conformances are actioned and captured appropriately
Cooperate and have input to the development and implementation of quality and safety work instructions for projects
Assist with quality system audits as requiredTechnicalDevelop strong understanding of CR core services by working closely with Technicians in the field
Work within Contract Resources systems and procedures
Procedure reviews, updates and development
Research best practice methodologies and innovations
Develop and implement document control systems
Provide technical mechanical support
Assist with estimating and scheduling
MS Software (Word, Excel, Projects, Power Point etc.)
Execute projects on client facilities as required during peak periods to develop site knowledge. A position on site may include works as a Technician, Supervisor or Coordinator.Continuous ImprovementAssist in the continuous improvement of project work in the QLD region
Conduct site-based gap analysis of CR projects
Research innovative solutions and develop trial programs for testing and proving initiatives
Lead the change management and implementation of improvement projects
Foster a supportive culture where suggested improvements that could reduce cost, increase productivity and improve quality are promoted
Cooperate and have input to reviewing processes to ensure best practice is achieved regarding safety, quality and efficiencies
Work closely with the Safety and Quality teams on the development of Safety and Quality systemsRequirements & Experience NeededTertiary or trade background in a related field
Experience in construction, mining or oil and gas (desirable)
Strong communication skills
Time management skills
Willingness to apply technical discipline to Contract Resources service lines.
Willingness to manage projects within time/budget constraints and safety expectations.
Ability to communicate and present information to a high level.
HSEQ knowledge within the industry.
Strong research abilities
Positive attitude and proven ability to work under pressure.
Team player/builder aptitudes are essential.

Positive communication skills.
Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, P&IDs and specifications
Experience liaising with internal and external customers
Previous work experience as an engineer and experience within oil and gas or resource sector desirable
