
Senior Product Designer

- Own the end-to-end product design lifecycle from research and ideation to high-fidelity UI design.
- Conduct user research in a structured way, using empathy to understand user needs and uncover untapped opportunities.
- The ability to synthesise large amounts of data, crafting compelling insights that draw on multiple sources including customer research, desktop research and data analytics.
- Lead co-design workshops, applying Design Thinking methodology to gain alignment around design problems and opportunities.
- Contribute to Service Blueprinting and User Journey Mapping across key touch points for our personalisation and multimedia experience initiatives.
- Design intuitive and visually appealing high fidelity user interfaces for native mobile and web applications that are development-ready in sync with our Agile sprints and timelines.
- Champion accessibility, consistency, and design excellence across all platforms.
- Advocate for user needs while aligning with business goals and journalistic values.
- Ensure that the defined business requirements, usability and accessibility requirements have been met and are consistent to the design practice and are documented.
- Collaborate with the Product Design Lead, Product Managers and business stakeholders to understand business goals and execute accordingly.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience shipping products including developing Design Systems
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as User Interface Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Product (UX/UI) Design, Industrial Design or a related discipline
- Proficiency in design tools Figma, JIRA, Confluence and other relevant software
- Experience in design thinking methodologies, human-centered design, or other relevant design frameworks
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage designs across multiple products simultaneously.
- Experience working alongside development teams in an agile environment and in sprints
- Ability to think creatively and develop new and innovative ways of approaching problems/opportunities and engaging with various audiences.
