- Leadership of mine support functions (Health, Safety, Training, Environment, Biodiversity, Community, Property, Project Development and Approvals) in support of safe, productive operational delivery and maintaining licence to operate.
- Maximise organisational efficiency by cross-function support structure integration and combination of common functions into single role accountability where possible
- Maintain and assure an effective site centralised Compliance Management System containing all Compliance-related standards, procedures and legal requirements.
- Maintain and continuously improve site risk management and training systems.
- Manage internal and external compliance verification processes.
- Manage compliance calendar and ensure effective alignment with site operational calendar.
- Monitor industry and legal developments to ensure site is well placed to deliver productive, timely and compliant operational changes as appropriate and /or required.
- Maintain collaborative relations with SLT, other site and corporate peer group.
- Champion effective site project development through engagement and collaborative relations with study groups.

- Minimum fifteen years of mining operational experience
- Tertiary Qualifications in one or more compliance-related field(s)
- Tertiary Qualification in mining, engineering or related discipline preferred
- NSW Statutory mining qualifications preferred
- Knowledge of NSW Coal Mines Compliance requirements:
- Health, Safety and Training
- Environment and Water
- Mine Operating Plans and Approvals
- Experienced in interacting with various NSW Government Regulatory Institutions, e.g.: Resources Regulator, DPIE, EPA
- Extensive exposure to OC coal mining practices & management
