The hospital supports over 2,500 operations, 600+ births and approximately 20,000 emergency presentations annually. A range of specialist services are provided including general medicine, surgery, paediatric medicine, oncology, obstetrics, respiratory medicine, renal dialysis and rehabilitation, a 24-hour ED with 15 beds that is supported by an ICU equipped with telehealth cameras and allied health services.The Role:Reporting to the Clinical Director of Surgery the Staff Specialist General Surgery will participate in the consultant on-call roster, assist with the education role of the department, and provide clinical care to patients as well as performance of all types of surgery.
