The OrganisationThis Health Service is located on the beautiful south coast of NSW. It is a networked service spread over three campuses, with two hospitals co-located with community health, and a standalone community health centre.You will be based across the two hospitals; a 55 bed level 3 hospital that offers the following services: emergency department, inpatient acute medical care, general and gynaecological surgery, sub-acute and maternity services and a 31 bed level 2 hospital that offers the following services: emergency department, inpatient acute medical services and day only surgery - cataract surgery, minor orthopaedics, minor urology and gastrointestinal endoscopy.The Job· As a Specialist General Surgeon, you will provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes· You will provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice· You will attend, participate and support teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement activities· Specialist General Surgeon's will participate in an on-call roster· You will be primarily located across two facilities, and additional appointments within other facilities may occur by mutual agreementRewards· Competitive Fee for Service rates· Flexible FTE available to ensure work /life balance· Interesting and challenging work· Located halfway between Sydney and Melbourne, and approximately 2.15 hours from Canberra.
