
Business Transformation Project Manager | 12 month contract

- Brisbane CBD Location with flexibility to WFH 2 days per week
- Lead end-to-end delivery of allocated business change projects, including the development of project briefs, schedules, governance artefacts, and delivery plans.

- Manage multidisciplinary project teams and provide leadership across planning, delivery, and evaluation phases.
- Apply fit-for-purpose project management approaches (PRINCE2/Agile) suitable for a business-led transformation environment.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, interdependencies, and change impacts, escalating where necessary to maintain delivery momentum.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align project scope and delivery with business priorities and constraints.
- Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to project stakeholders, including preparation of status reports, executive updates, and decision logs.
- Ensure project governance processes are followed and support program-level assurance and reporting requirements.
- Champion and integrate organisational change management practices in collaboration with the Change Manager.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new operational capabilities, including the formation of sustainable teams, processes, and governance models.
- Promote continuous improvement by contributing to lessons learned, process refinement, and capability uplift within the project and broader program environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing business change or transformation projects in a complex organisational environment.
- Experience establishing new operational functions or teams will be highly regarded.
- Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools (e.g. MS Project, Excel, SharePoint, JIRA).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes through influence and collaboration, often without direct line authority.
- Knowledge and practical application of project management and change frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, PROSCI, or equivalent).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities, including the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and ambiguity while maintaining a focus on outcomes.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, project management, public administration, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
