The Team:You will be based at Launceston General Hospital, working directly with a team of 7. In a hospital setting means strong relationships between the multidisciplinary team whom we work alongside and contribute to an outstanding inpatient and outpatient service. The Role:

Orthotic management of inpatient services across the LGH and rehabilitation sites including trauma, neurological and general medical
Paediatric patients including CTEV, Cranial Shaping Helmets, post-op management, DDH
Local leadership for junior staff
Referral management and triaging in collaboration with Senior staff
NDIS provision of high end supports
Opportunities for prosthetic provision in the rehabilitation and outpatient services

You will need:

High level capability in resolving complex clinical challenges and needs; developed through extensive experience and maintenance of currency of practice in specialised service delivery types within the field of orthotics and prosthetics, and participation in a range of interdisciplinary clinical services.
Commitment to person-centred care provision for clients and their families.
Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, training and performance appraising.

Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Fixed term full time day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 20 October 2026.*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

Please note that access to salaries beyond $119,290 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme.
