With Mercy, you’ll have the chance to make an impact and gain experience that’s hard to find elsewhere.At Mercy Health, it’s all about taking what we have and making it better.To do that, we need you.Join us at Mercy Health, and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes.About the opportunityWe have an opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist (P2) or Senior Clinical Psychologist (P3) to join our dynamic multidisciplinary Mercy Mental Health Residential Recovery Services teamWorking across 2 sites at Community Care Unit CCU Werribee and Prevention & Recovery Care (PARC) Deer ParkThe team focuses on best practice, individually tailored consumer care, to meet the needs of adults aged 18-60 years within residential based public mental health settingsThe Clinical Psychologist provides psychological assessment, formulation, individual therapy and group therapy for resident consumers, and offers psychological contributions to treatment planning and recommendations in consultation with the larger multidisciplinary teamWorking collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, the Clinical Psychologist offers a range of high quality psychological interventions to assist consumers in achieving their recovery goals, increase their independence, and build an improved quality of life, while supporting relapse prevention, discharge planning, and skill buildingIn partnership with leadership and psychology registrars, the Clinical Psychologist is involved in developing and improving CCU and PARC psychological services and group programsPermanent part-time role, 3 days a weekNegotiable daysGenerous salary packaging availableRegular clinical supervision from a senior clinical psychologist, plus opportunities for group supervision and professional development.What you’ll bringYou’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional consumer-centred care.To thrive in this role, you will have:Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, with Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical PsychologistExperience practising in Psychology under a Recovery Orientated Mental Health Service FrameworkInterest in the intersection between psychiatric, psychological, and systemic approaches to holistic health careSound knowledge and skills in evidence-based psychological therapies, such as CBT, ACT, DBT, CFT, preferably with experience in group therapy facilitationClinical competence in mental state examination and risk managementExperience in delivery of clinical psychology services to people with severe and complex mental health presentationsExcellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solveA compassionate, responsive, flexible and positive approach to effective consumer care and managementThe ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environmentCommitment to professional development and supervision, with strong reflective abilitiesFor P2 Clinical Psychologist role: Candidates currently engaged in an AHPRA Clinical Psychology Registrar Program will be consideredFor P3 Senior Clinical Psychology role: Interest in providing clinical supervision to early career psychologists, with either endorsement as a Psychology Supervisor or working towards completion of the same.You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:A current Police Record Check and Working with Children CheckProof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health ordersRelevant postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology and AHPRA registration as a Psychologist.Ready to help us shape the future of healthcare?Join us and make a meaningful difference in people’s lives - and your career.Are you ready to apply for this role?
