- qualifications to teach Religious Education or the willingness to undertake relevant study.
- be an active and committed Catholic or demonstrate a willingness to support the ethos of the Catholic school.
- have Special Education qualifications and/or experience teaching in a specialised setting.
- demonstrate an ability to provide appropriate intervention to meet the learning needs of students on the autism spectrum.
- demonstrate well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, mentor and work collaboratively with all support staff, teachers in regular classes and from other schools, parent(s)/carer(s) and external agencies and the wider community.
- have strong skills in the integration of Information and Communication Technologies for students with disability in the learning process.
- demonstrate an understanding of positive behaviour approaches and an ability to develop and maintain a positive, innovative approach to support students with challenging behaviours.
- to design and implement quality individual education programs, including differentiating learning, to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
- show an ability to develop, implement and monitor quality personalised learning plans, including quality literacy and numeracy practices, that will enhance students' ability to access the general curriculum.
- be committed to ongoing personal and professional learning, formation and growth.
- A deep knowledge of the Curriculum K-6 and a skilled classroom practitioner.
- demonstrated understanding of CEDoW's Vision and Mission.
- an awareness of the Diocesan Lighting the Way Strategic Plan.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K-6.
- Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.
