A well-established Tier 2 building services consultancy is expanding its capabilities and launching a new Sustainable Design division. With a strong reputation in commercial projects across fire, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic engineering, they are now seeking an experienced and ambitious ESD Engineer to lead and grow this exciting new offering.This is a new role in the business - perfect for someone with the confidence and commercial acumen to build something from the ground up. You'll be working on a diverse range of commercial projects including hospitals, aged care, education, shopping centres, retail, and large-scale commercial buildings.What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead the set-up and delivery of the new Sustainability (ESD) team
  • Work on a broad portfolio of commercial projects (hospitals, education, retail, aged care, offices, shopping centres)
  • Undertake sustainability certifications, modelling, and compliance across BREEAM, WELL, LEED, NABERS, and Green Star
  • Drive business development: leverage your existing client network, win work, and build long-term partnerships
  • Provide thought leadership and champion sustainable design within the consultancy and industry
  • Mentor and grow your own sustainability team as the division expands
What We're Looking For
  • 7+ years' experience in ESD consulting, with a commercial construction background
  • Strong technical knowledge across sustainability frameworks: BREEAM, WELL, LEED, NABERS, Green Star
  • Demonstrated success in business development, with an existing client network you can bring with you
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously and thrives in a fast-growing, agile environment
  • Confident communicator with proven ability to win projects and lead clients through the sustainable design process
  • Previous experience in a Tier 2 or mid-sized consultancy
