We're on the lookout for a motivated and detail-focused Procurement Support Officer to join our Governance & Risk team. At the Shire we value Honesty, Empathy, Accountability, Respect and Teamwork which underpin the way we work with our elected members, the community and each other.Job DescriptionJob Description:As our Procurement Support Officer, you'll be an important part of ensuring the Shire's procurement activities are well-planned, compliant and deliver value for our community. You'll assist with end-to-end tender and quotation processes - from advertising and evaluation through to awarding - as well as assist with procurement meetings, keep accurate records and provide clear guidance to staff on purchasing thresholds and requirements.Your role will also include supporting contract administration, maintaining supplier and contract registers, updating procurement templates and policies and assisting with major project procurement. It's a role that requires balancing multiple priorities, exercising discretion with sensitive matters and building productive relationships with both internal teams and external suppliers.With the Shire rolling out new systems and improving procurement practices, you'll have the chance to contribute ideas, support change and work closely with colleagues across the organisation.   • Strong administration experience, ideally in a procurement or compliance-related role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Good numerical and literacy skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy
