- High attention to detail and accuracy with a positive solutions-based approach.
- Analyse RFT documentation, scope of works, drawings and project specific specifications.
- Conduct detailed material take-offs, labour, plant and equipment cost assessments.
- Obtain and analyse supplier & subcontractor quotations.
- Liaise with internal resources for compilation of site construction methodologies to support detailed cost-based estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for internal technical reviews, prior to submission.
- Prepare detailed tender submission proposals and presentations for clients.
- Estimates for varying types of projects ranging from $20k to $15M.
- Build and maintain quality relationships with clients, internal teams, suppliers & subcontractors.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years proven experience as a Construction Estimator for projects in the NSW/Australian market.
- Strong ability to analyse & interpret project specific RFT documentation, design drawings & detailed specifications.
- Experience with preparation of detailed cost-based estimates for large scale projects.
- Experience with large Tier 1 and Tier 2 project tenders up to $15M.
- Experience with supply & installation of Structural Steel.
- Experience with supply & installation of Architectural finishes.
- Experience with Civil/Structural Foundations (desired).
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 5131 and TfNSW specifications B201 (CC2/CC3) (preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise workloads.
- Excellent skills with all Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Project (preferred).
- Strong commercial acumen and awareness to assess potential risks to the business.
- Highly professional approach with clients and internal teams, with strong ability to build and maintain quality relationships.
