Attachments:This is a Permanent Full Time appointment.Position Profile: An exciting opportunity exists for a Coordinator Medical Education to join the WACHS Medical Education Unit. The occupant of this position provides support and leadership to regional Medical Education Officers in the delivery of education and training programs for the prevocational medical workforce in rural WA. You will develop processes and procedures to ensure the orientation, accreditation, education, training, and supervision of WACHS doctors is in accordance with the relevant governing bodies such as Postgraduate Medical Council of Western Australia (PMCWA), specialist vocational medical colleges and the Australian Medical Council (AMC).Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) Medical Education Unit (MEU) supports a broad range of education opportunities and welfare initiatives for medical practitioners across rural WA.
