Children’s Ministry Worker

- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of our children’s ministries:
- Sunday Kids’ Church
- Friday morning Playtime (Toms Playtime)
- Friday afternoon Kids’ Club (Jaffa)
- Holiday Kids’ Clubs (2–3 per year)
- Lead and develop evangelistic initiatives both inside and outside the church
- Teach SRE (Special Religious Education) at North Sydney Demonstration School
- Recruit, train, equip, and pastorally care for leaders and junior leaders
- Create and refine curriculum and devotional resources for Preschool to Year 6
- Build strong partnerships with parents and carers through regular communication and discipleship
- Maintain safe and welcoming ministry environments for all children, including those with neurodiverse needs
- Facilitate smooth transitions into youth ministry (Lights) and connection with our onsite Preschool
- Maintain accurate records and rosters via Elvanto
- Ensure full compliance with all Safe Ministry policies
- A committed Christian growing in love for Christ and His people
- Alignment with the theological convictions and mission of St Thomas’
- Minimum one year of theological training
- Minimum 2 years’ experience leading children or youth ministry teams
- Strong communication, relational, teaching, and administrative skills
- A team player with a training mentality and willingness to submit to leadership
- Valid Working With Children Check and up-to-date Safe Ministry Training
- This person will attend the 5pm evening service as their congregation and be an active member of a Discipleship Group
