Due to growth, this business is now looking to hire a strong administration professional who will provide administration support to project estimators in this business.The role will provide a crucial role in supporting the Victorian estimating department and other estimators in our organisation. This position is responsible for performing all administration tasks relevant to the preparation and follow up of tenders through to assistance with tasks for successful projects.The role will be responsible for:
Estimating Support
- Support for Estimators in the preparation of tender documents and presentations including prequalification requirements across multiple estimating portals.
- Attend meetings / take minutes as required
- Assist in obtaining supplier/subcontractor quotations including printing and the issue of documents and follow up telephone calls.
- Research current tenders via internet, newspapers or other means available.
- Prompt Estimators to follow up tender prospects.
- Follow up status of minor works tenders with builders and consultants as directed by Estimating Manager.
- Maintenance of stationery and office equipment within the Estimating Department
- Printing of hand over folders for successful tenders.
- Internal resume creation / maintenance for staff as needed (as part of bids and proposals).
- Create / maintain capability statements as required
- Administrative projects as requested by Estimating Manager - VIC.
Remuneration for this role will entail base and superannuation - to be discussed with relevant candidates.Selection Criteria
- To be successful in your application for this role you must possess:
- You are a permanent resident of Australia
- You have held similar administration roles in the past - either in project management, construction, estimating or sales administration
- You are highly organised and have initiative
- You have excellent computer skills and have worked with databases, accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Construction industry experience is ideal but not essential if an applicant demonstrates all other attributes above.
