We provide a wide range of support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and their families with an inherent quest in improving school attendance and academic achievement. Look it up! What you’ll be doingThis will depend on your previous experience. You might be kind-of new to the community and youth services sector but comfortable in driving a 12-seater van. You’ll spend the first few days learning the ropes. Don’t stress, you’ll have a great mentor to work with. To start you’ll assist your EEAI Coordinator with logistics while establishing relationships with students and their families. Once you’ve settled in, you’ll then take ownership of some school attendance pick ups and drop offs, support students to have positive educational experiences at school (& outside of school) and help families be the centre of their children’s education.   • Get a buzz when making a meaningful and positive impact with young people and families
  • Have excellent people skills with the ability to relate with students, parents, teachers, community leaders & external agencies
  • Hold a strong indigenous cultural awareness and knowledge of local cultures
  • Have a knack for bringing people together and fostering positive relationships between stakeholders
  • Previous experience and/or confidence in driving a 12-seater van safely
  • Hold an Australian driver’s licence (WA C class or equivalent)
  • Can obtain a National Police Certificate and Working with Children card
