- Inspections, monitoring and reporting of dams, including assessment against Trigger, Action and Response Plans and actioning appropriately.
- Data collection, management, analysis, and reporting, requiring a sound knowledge of MS Excel, and utilising real-time monitoring programs.
- Working with the water planning engineers and dewatering team, to identify and action improvements to the water management system.
- Safely and efficiently install, and operate, key instrumentation such as vibrating wire piezometers, water level sensors, electrical conductivity monitors, flowmeters and pressure meters.
- Assist the dewatering team with asset management of key infrastructure such as pumps, pipelines, lime treatment plants, compressors, generators etc (e.g. procurement and stocktake, management of critical spares, adherence to maintenance schedules).
- Assist the water planning engineers with lime stock management.
- Working closely with the environment team to achieve environmental water management objectives.
- Working closely with the Mining Technical Services technician team with asset management and instrumentation and assisting where required.
- Effective stakeholder engagement both internal (environment, mining, metallurgy) and external contractor management (e.g. for construction, maintenance, repair etc).
- Computer literate and skilled in the use of MS Excel, Word
- Manual drivers’ licence
- Experience with water management instrumentation - Preferred
- Experience with data management systems (e.g. SCADA) – Desirable
- Experience with external compliance reporting – Desirable
- Surveying experience – Desirable
