Are you an experienced EL 1 Governance and Corporate Reporting professional with government experience? Are you looking for a long term labour hire contract and available immediately?Are you based in Canberra?If you answered yes to these questions, then this just might be the role for you!Duties
- Coordinating risk reviews and reporting.
- Working the Council internal auditors on the internal audit program.
- Secretariat support for the Audit and Risk Committee.
- Managing fraud and corruption control plan and practices across the Council.
- Managing conflict of interest policy and practices across the Council.
- Effectively manage a small team to achieve deliverables and grow employee capabilities.
- Provide high quality advice to Directors and Senior Leadership regarding the work of the team, including preparing highly complex written briefings and reports, drafting Ministerial briefs and providing input to parliamentary requests.
- Consult and collaborate with staff from across the Council.
- The ability to lead and successfully manage projects by developing clear plans to appropriately scope the required resources and time frames to accomplish outcomes and confidently manage any issues that arise.
- Ability to identify and respond to strategic and legislative opportunities and challenges in an evolving environment.
- Proven ability to deliver highly clear, strategic written documents that meet stakeholder needs
- Excellent judgement, strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple priorities and respond flexibly in a constantly changing work environment.
- High level relationship management skills, with the ability to build and sustain strong networks and relationships within the agency and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, guide and develop staff for high performance.
- Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to collate and interpret complex information.
- Ability to understand the Council role in the Australian research landscape and the associated strategic direction and priorities of the Agency.
