Payments Operations Analyst - 6 Month ContractGlobal BankFull Time in office (no wfh)40 + Super / HourThe RoleThis role will see you working within the Australian Banking Operations team. You will be helping drive payment operations in the region and rollout payment solutions withing the main branch.Other duties include :
  • Monitor daily payment processing activities across various platforms and payment gateways
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, failures, and customer-related payment queries in a timely manner.
  • Analyze payment data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and uncover opportunities for process improvement.
  • Manage payment disputes, chargebacks, and refunds, working closely with customer support and fraud teams.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of payment accounts and support month-end financial closing processes.
You will be acting as a local point of contact for payment operations, validating solutions and coordinating to resolve any issues.Your Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a payments operations, e-commerce, or financial operations role.
  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end payments lifecycle, including gateways, acquirers, and card schemes (Visa, Mastercard, etc.).
  • Proficiency in data analysis using tools like Microsoft Excel
